Clubs in the Bikes For All Program

 

In the North of Israel:

 

The Lower Galilee Cycling Club, in the Kadouri Agricultural College, north of Kfar Tavor. An Olympic BMX park is planned nearby which the club will operate. Contact 052-840 3828.

 

Tirat Hacarmel Cycling Club, in the town's youth center, led by instructor Ro'I Saffron, supported by Microsoft, whose workers volunteer to help with the club's activities. Contact 052-638 2009.

 

Carmel Cycling Club of Dali'at El Carmel and Usefiyyah, two Druze towns, led by instructor Najib Hacarmel. Contact: 050-792 2539.

 

The Tiberias Hostel Cycling Club is a closed club whose participants live in the hostel. This club cycled this year all the way from Tiberias to Eilat in 17 days and proudly met all the challenges along the way.

 

Central Israel:

 

Samson Riders Bikers Club at Beit Shemesh is the exemplary club of the project and the oldest club. It runs many activities and takes part in national competitions as well. In 2008 it pioneered a course in mechanics for its youth and the graduates received a certificate for their specialized training in mechanics. Lev Hasharon Cycling Club, near Tel Mond, serves four different groups, three youth groups and one group of women, led by Ronen Lifshitz. Contact:  052-476 4828 http://bikes4lev.amuta.org.il

 

Beit Ha-even Kfar Saba Cycling Club, the municipal cycling club of Kfar Saba is in the east of the city, at the initiative of youth leader Alex. The club is led by Alex and cycling instructor Aviad Izrael. Contact: 050-623 3421. 

 

Ajour Cycling Club, Mateh Yehudah Regional Council, otherwise known as "Guardians of Park Britannia", was set up by the Samson Riders Club together with KKL, the local townships, and the Israel Cycling Federation. One of its aims is to care for nearby Park Britannia which has recently been targeted by vandals. Contact: 050-628 5112.

 

Wing of Love Cycling Club at Kfar Menachem is a closed club for the youth at risk in the Wing of Love hostel at Gedera. Led by Yiftach Sahar and supported by One2One. Contact: 052-458 0274. 

 

Southern Israel:

 

Regional Council of Abu Basma – two clubs for the Bedouin community, at Abu Krinat and Abu Kef, under the auspices of the regional schools. Led by instructor Amir Elhawashlah and supported by students and volunteers in the region. Contact: 052-559 7990.

 

Arad Cycling Club, started recently by the Arad Municipality Sports Department, led by instructor Eran Sela. Contact: 054-344 0044.

 

Uphill Start Cycling Club, Beer Sheva, set up by the Daroma movement involved in promoting and developing the Negev and led by instructor Jean from Kibbutz Re'im. Contact: 052-501 3904. 

 

Yerucham Cycling Club, of the Yerucham Local Authority, led by instructor Kfir and youth counselor Yuval. The club rides in the makhtesh and is helping to build bike paths for tourists in Yerucham. Contact: 050-210 4537.
