9 Bedouin cyclists train to become cycling instructors

Two months ago, the first cycling instructors' course opened in the south of Israel as a collaboration between the Israel Cycling Federation and the Kaye Institute in Beer Sheba in order to train instructors for the Bikes For All project.
What is special about this course is the enrollment of so many Bedouin participants. The interest developed in the Bedouin sector after Bikes For All and the Abu Basma Regional Council opened two clubs for Bedouin children, in Abu Kirnaat and Abu Kef, which led to demands for more clubs in this sector.
We hope that this course will qualify instructors who can work in the Negev, to enable all the children in this desert area to cycle, to enjoy and learn as they ride bikes.
The Israel Cycling Federation appointed Mr. Nimrod Dobinsky to direct the course and take responsibility for the teaching and qualification of the participants. We are grateful to Mr. Arele Zohar of the Abu Basma Regional Council for his help in promoting the first cycling instructors' course in the Negev!
