What does the word “bicycle” remind you?
Fun, drops, climbing, puddles, mud, balance, and many other childhood memories. This is just what we mean by “Bike Club”, or “Biking School”.
In our Bike Club, the participants benefit from various biking-related activities: cycling training, environmental-friendly biking trails, lectures and workshops, bike trips and biking events, cooperation with KKL (Jewish National Federation), summer camps, and more.
Aside from the biking-related activities (which will constitute 60% of the time), other educational values will be added such as contribution to the community, lectures, etc.
Altogether, these activities will enable the youth to value nature and the environment, and to acquire other important educational values along the way (leadership, organizational capability, coordination, respect for nature etc.).
Each age group will meet twice a week for a 2-hour training, and once a month we’ll go on a field trip for parents and kids.
The youth/children will benefit from five national events on a yearly basis, as well as from many other activities.
The Goals of Our Cycling Clubs:
• To promote equality between girls and boys
• To teach young people how to win and to lose
• To engender mutual respect, for the instructor and all other people
• To educate young people in cycling as well as in road safety, conservation of the environment, nature appreciation and more.
• To encourage youngsters to get outside and engage in outdoor activities
• To work and participate in an orderly fashion
• To promote a healthy life style that includes sport
What Our Cycling clubs IS NOT:
• They will NOT become a center for training competitive champions
• They will NOT become a dumping ground or babysitting service for parents who want to get rid of their children for a few hours
• They will NOT be just a club for bicycles; they WILL be a club for sharing values, learning new skills, socializing, helping others and much more.
